SAL MATCH REPORT LUTON 22nd

Thanks to those who made the journey to Luton and to all the officials, coaches and parents.

This was a difficult match up against the top clubs in the league and we were in the midst of some really talented athletes.  

Everyone put their heart into the events and did their best but with several gaps in the team we couldn’t perform to our full potential.

Noticeable performances went to Sarka Hawtin 1st in Pole Vault and her debut SAL, Jess Downing 1st in b string 400m hurdles and a PB in shot, Jason Kingwell  and James   Grove doing all the heavy throws and James Grove gaining 1st in b string Hammer, Adele Pereira 1st in b string Long Jump, and to Andre Ovbiagele in his first SAL competing in 100m and Long Jump getting a PB of 5.72 in his 1st ever jump. Oscar Freame U20 competing in 100m, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Javelin and 4x100m and getting a PB in Javelin, Bella Ashby getting PB’s in Hammer and Discus, Zac Lewis PB in High Jump, Oscar Edmondson PB in Triple Jump, Serena Thomas competing in 100m,200, 4×100 and 4x400m and Sophie Segun storming past 3 other runners in the last leg of the 4x100m to get 2nd place.
