2nd Southern Athletics League Meeting: June 15th 2024 Stevenage

We came second in our second match of the season – a great result. Thanks to everyone who took part.

The day was gloomy to begin with – wind and rain but nothing dampened our spirits or performances, and by the end of the day we were competing in the sunshine.

There were some great performances all round and official man/woman of the match awards went to Bryce Breen jumping 4.20m in pole vault, Ena Olivier jumping 1.65m in High Jump and Imogen List throwing 33.59m in javelin.

For me man of the match was Nathan Reeves for competing in 5 events and coming 1st or 2nd in each.

It was lovely to see father and daughter Anthony and Trinity Meikle competing and congrats to Alfredo Whitehead Benitez running his first 400m in the 4×400 and smashing it.

Next match 14th July at Cambridge -we could win this one !
